Dr. Vangelis Mitsis, M.D. is a graduate with distinction in Medicine & Chirurgic from Italy's University of Padua.
 
Vangelis founded and is currently CEO of a Spanish company (2015) specializing in minor cannabinoids and terpenes with bio-cosmetic product distribution to Malta, Italy, Swiss, Germany, Denmark, Greece and Czech Republic. He also established four cannabis social clubs in Barcelona, Spain (2016) and provided support as Program Director and Treatment Consultant.
 
He has established an agriculture R&D and Bioscience Laboratory in Greece (2018) specializing in tissue culture micro propagation and also established an Analytical Laboratory for a UK company (2020).
 
He has been active in the cannabis space and held various C-suite and consulting positions at several cannabis companies in different countries. He has undertaken cannabis strain hunting for rare landrace genetics in India and Sri Lanka. He holds a Cannabis Research License in Saint Vincent and Grenadines and has discovered a new efficient method of converting CBD to CBN, Delta 8 or Delta 9 (2021).
 
Dr. Mitsis is well published including Biotechnological Approaches on two high CBD and CBG Cannabis Sativa L. varieties: in vitro regeneration and phytochemical consistency evaluation of micro propagated plant using quantitative H-NMR (2020). He is a sought after presenter at top conferences including World Cannabis Conference (Barcelona, Spain) and CBD the Gateway to all Cannabinoids in Barcelona, Holland and Denmark.
 
He has most recently completed research with European Union universities on Cannabis, Functional food and Medical Mushrooms.  
 
Dr. Mitsis’ extensive laboratory work on fungi since 2018, in collaboration with multiple universities, made him a luminary in the field by him identifying a revolutionary way to cultivate, extract and purify psilocybin analytical standards to support the important psilocybin clinical studies occurring worldwide on mental health treatment and other illnesses and diseases. His passion, innovation, and transformative contributions continue to shape the future of psychedelics.
